Sarasota County Schools wanted to update the track and field at Riverview High School. The existing track and field were worn, dated and had maintenance issues. One of the largest issues the school had on the existing field was it was under the current flood plain causing flooding to the field constantly.
In addition, this was the first artificial turf field Sarasota County Schools had built. Our Design Build team worked together to keep the field in the existing footprint while bringing it up out of the flood plain. In addition, the old asphalt track was converted into a rubberized track.
