This iconic Sarasota project will be public park in the perfect marriage of the City of Sarasota, Sarasota County and private donors. The scope of work for Phase 1 consists of an approximate $15-20 million construction budget and is comprised of various improvements of approximately 10 acres of land located from Boulevard of the Arts (BOTA) west of US-41 to Sarasota Bay and north to the existing bayou just south of the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall; associated parking and roadway areas; and an environmentally sensitive tidal bayou south of the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall property.
Preconstruction and construction services for all Phase 1 work, including but not limited to improvements include the demolition of the existing parking areas; possible exotic invasive removal, landscape enhancements, walking paths, and pedestrian boardwalk / bridges along the banks of the tidal bayou; roadway improvements along Boulevard of the Arts (BOTA); infrastructure and utility improvements; restroom facility, pavilion facilities, resilient ecological shoreline improvements, and an approximate 15,000- 20,000 SF pier extending into Sarasota Bay.
