Project Description

Client: Sarasota County

Project Description:

Sarasota County’s first CMAR utility project delivering 2.4 miles of critical water and wastewater infrastructure ahead of schedule

Jon F. Swift Construction delivered approximately 12,500 linear feet of potable water transmission main and wastewater force main along Knights Trail Road from Laurel Road to the County property boundary. As Construction Manager at Risk, we provided pre-construction design review, value engineering, cost estimating, and Guaranteed Maximum Price development for this essential infrastructure expansion supporting Sarasota County’s planned growth.

Project Highlights:

♦ 16 directional drills (10″ and 16″ HDPE pipe, 500-1,200 LF each) minimizing roadway disruption

♦ Comprehensive traffic management maintaining access for residents and commuters

♦ Early procurement packages keeping construction on schedule

♦ Full system commissioning meeting Florida DEP requirements

♦ Completed two months ahead of schedule

This project showcased our CMAR expertise in coordinating complex utility installation within active roadway corridors while managing conflicts with existing infrastructure through proactive collaboration with County officials, design teams, and subcontractors.
