JOB DESCRIPTION:

JOB SUMMARY

The Superintendent role provides on-site management of the project. Projects range from vertical construction to
underground utility work. The ideal candidate will be experienced, dependable, highly motivated and efficient with a “CAN
DO” attitude.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  •  Supervise all field operations and trade contractors in conjunction with Project Manager
  •  Updates Project Manager on project on a daily/weekly basis
  •  Ability to communicate effectively with clients, end-users and subcontractors
  •  Coordinate all subcontractor activities and daily scheduling
  •  Inspect the quality of work to ensure compliance with design standards and take corrective action with
    subcontractors to fix any problems
  •  Review vendor drawings and submittals
  •  Coordinate subcontractor and safety meetings on-site
  •  Responsible for knowledge of permitting, inspections, building codes and laws and implementing them on every
    project
  •  Manages change orders on as-built drawings
  •  Manages temporary labor and carpentry staff
  •  Always maintains a clean and safe project site including, but not limited to implementing a project specific
    emergency plan, incident reports/documentation, Fire Extinguishers, MSDS, Overall Compliance to Company Safety
    Policy)
  • Update 3-week look-ahead schedule
  •  Complete daily job reports and photos via Procore
  •  Complete NPDES reporting and compliance
  •  Coordination of material testing
  •  Closing out permits
  •  Implement hurricane preparations if necessary
  •  Attend preconstruction and construction progress meetings as needed

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  •  3-5 years of experience in a Superintendent role
  •  High school diploma required
  •  Ability to understand and comprehend construction drawings.
  •  Ability to understand design specifications, structural details and technical drawings to ensure accurate and efficient project execution.
  •  Must be capable of identifying discrepancies or issues in the plans and proactively communicating solutions to the team.
  •  Ability to pass a Level 2 Security Clearance
  •  Driver’s license
  •  OSHA 30 Hour Certification (or take required courses immediately upon hire)
  •  Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office (Outlook and Word) and Bluebeam
  •  Critical thinking/problem solver – ability to use facts and information to find solutions
  •  Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  •  Ability to prioritize and attention to detail required
