SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – Construction has begun for the new Legacy Trail Extension project in Sarasota.
Crews started on segment one of the project, which is clearing the area and removing railroad ties.
Crews will continue working on this project next week from Proctor Road and Bahia Vista.
The extension is part of the $65 million project that was approved in 2018.
